The ‘yachtsman’s bible’ has come a long way since its first incarnation in 1932 (see some of the early editions reproduced here) so as a salute to those early editions we have reinstated, for the 75th edition, the much remarked upon ‘childbirth at sea’ section so now you really can be sure that Reeds Nautical Almanac contains everything you need at sea! From a small format black and white volume it has blossomed into a large format, full colour, highly illustrated paperback of a whopping 1050 pages providing all the data required to navigate Atlantic coastal waters from the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands and the entire European coastline from the tip of Denmark right down to Gibraltar! And it now contains over 7500 waypoints and over 700 harbour charts. In the Almanacs section you can read what some of today’s intrepid and revered yachtsmen and authorities have to say about Reeds Nautical Almanac. Referred to as ‘the yachtsman’s bible’, a ‘tour de force’ and ‘the king of Almanacs’ we hope you’ll take Chay Blyth’s advice: ‘Don’t go to sea without it’.
